Liv Mertens

Liv grew up in Berkeley, CA where she played competitive soccer and learned her love for baking. Chocolate chip cookies were a weekly endeavor in the Mertens household. Halfway through college in upstate New York, she took an impulsive year off to be a ski bum in Aspen, CO, which opened her eyes to an entirely new way of life. After spending the year learning to snowboard and climb, Liv fell in love with the outdoor community and promptly moved into her Honda Fit to further pursue climbing and snowboarding after finishing her degree. Three years living out of the small Honda taught her the importance of simplicity and purpose, ideals that she brought with her to Reno, NV in 2018, where she has established a home base, complete with a garden and a sourdough starter.
