Lael Martinez

Lael grew up around the Mountains of Virginia and Florida waters. She spent a lot of time exploring the outdoors and in college pursued Fine Arts at first, leading to a degree in Communication Design and eventually design for technology.

With a background in Product development, design, and marketing, Lael knows the ins and outs of what makes a product sound great versus what makes a product actually amazing. She has spent over 13 years in various technology industries with years of web and app product design and testing under her belt. When testing and writing for GearLab, she always keeps the end-user in mind and bases her tests on features and use cases that matter to the average buyer of the product.

When not working, you can find Lael enjoying the outdoors, gardening, and working on new artwork for the blank walls in her home.
